The Senior Supply Chain Analyst uses analytical methods and a variety of tools to understand, predict, improve, forecast and/or support chain operations and processes. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for data management, data mining and data analysis to develop recommendations that support supply chain goals and targets. The Senior Supply Chain Analyst builds forecasting models and understands demand-planning process. The will also build optimization models, including center of gravity distribution models and SKU rationalization methodologies. This position operates with minimal supervision and once given general assignments, prioritizes and executes tasks. This position supports multiple businesses and must have the capability to rotate to different assignments.
 
Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to support and lead multiple projects, possess excellent communication skills, work well with a team and interact with multiple levels and functions with the supply chain organization.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Inventory management, including an understanding of distribution flow and predictive behaviors, and key concepts such as Days/Weeks of Supply, In Stock, On Hand, On Order, Lead Time, COV and Pipeline
  • Collaborate with Production Planning and Product Deployment teams to ensure customer and production demands can be met. Work with Demand Planners to forecast expected volume based on replenishment, seasonality, promotional movement, overall item distribution and customer knowledge.
  • Reporting and Analysis 
  • Create/maintain monthly reports on key performance measures for both the customer and GP
  • Analyze service trends: identify patterns of missed opportunities, support demand planning to forecast expected volume based on replenishment, seasonality, promotional movement, overall item distribution and customer knowledge
  • Provide SKU rationalization and inventory velocity modeling
  • Support and develop finished goods optimization modeling, (SKU level, and by distribution location)
  • Identify savings and value opportunities through data analysis, mining, and work with manufacturing sites to implement
  • Partner with various functions to support RFP’s (provide supply chain analysis to include associate inventory, distribution and transportation costs)
  • Report out to business leadership - KPI’s, project updates, and business status

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience with supply chain, and logistics concepts required, specifically, demand planning, forecasting and inventory/network optimization 
  • Demonstrated experience in independently performing complex data analysis and converting to business intelligence that can be communicated to a diverse group of customers, and operational teams
  • Experience communicating with various levels/functions within the organization
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Analytics
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (i.e. creating spreadsheets, writing formulas with functions, macros, and advance analytics), experience in Microsoft PowerPoint (i.e. creating presentations and project mapping), preferred experience in creating dashboards in Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with large data sets to yield information that supports supply chain business needs

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Engineering/Statistics
  • 2-3 years of Project Management experience
  • Experience with the S&OP processes
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma qualified
  • Retail, Consumer and/or eCommerce experience
