Our Senior Tax Analyst-Indirect Tax will serve as an integral member of the Koch Indirect Tax Group and will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals responsible for indirect tax optimization. In this role, you will serve as an innovation and transformation facilitator through efficient tax data management and analytics development.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Administer indirect tax data management, process automation, and technology deployment for compliance processing and data analytics
  • Contribute toward indirect tax process automation and optimization by challenging the status quo
  • Develop and maintain proactive and predictive data analytics
  • Perform economic-based analysis on tax laws, regulations and procedures (including proposed guidance)
  • Collaborate with business units, tax managers, and other support capabilities
  • Assist and participate in strategic initiatives and special projects (e.g., mergers & acquisitions, tax controversy, and internal restructuring)
  • Assist and participate in compliance processing, credits and incentives, audit, business consulting, innovation, and transformation 

A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
  • Skilled at proactive inquiry/investigation into tax data and tax determination logic using advanced analytical tools
  • Capable of rendering root cause analysis and advancing solutions to correct and/or optimize tax determinations or processes
  • Leadership, collaboration and communication skills
  • Technical writing and research skills
  • Proactive in developing relationships with others to advance business process understanding and transformation opportunities
  • Have high initiative for automation, innovation, and transformation to further enhance value of the team

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years’ in indirect tax role, accounting role, or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following (Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Taxation)
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time 

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ with indirect tax return preparation, indirect business consulting, accounting, or equivalent government reporting experience
  • Previous CPA firm or large multi-national corporation experience
  • Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting
  • Proficiency with OneSource or other tax determination systems
  • CPA Certification 
  • Experience in data retrieval and analytics, including detailed experience with progressive analytical tools (advanced Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
