The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for participating in the development, maintenance, and tax compliance of efficient tax structures. The ideal candidate will evaluate staffing needs to ensure maximum productivity, be responsible for the development of managers and staff, and be responsible for helping drive objectives and motivating the team to get results, operate with a sense of urgency, and have the ability to be a big picture strategic thinker.  The successful candidate will be expected to gain an understanding of the business activities of the assigned entities to ensure proper tax treatment of business related issues and identify opportunities.    

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Analyze tax return items in order to ensure reporting is aligned with and appropriately reflects business transactions and tax positions
  • Ownership of the business line tax provision and provide technical tax advice to project teams
  • Build relationships and understand the business of assigned entities in order to assess tax opportunities
  • Serve as point of contact for tax authority inquiries and oversee written responses to tax authority inquires
  • Maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned companies

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in a Federal corporate income tax role
  • 4+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following (Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or Taxation) or a JD
  • Experience preparing or reviewing US international income tax returns including Forms 8865, 5471, and 8858

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous major CPA firm or large multi-national corporation experience 
  • Experience in partnership tax compliance
