Are you interested in growing your career?  Are you a driver of change?  Georgia-Pacific is seeking a dynamic Site Human Resources Business Partner for the Georgia-Pacific Camas Mill located in Camas, WA. Camas is a union site of approximately 150 employees situated in the city’s historic downtown, just across the beautiful Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. While reporting to a Sr. HR Manager, the individual in this role will be working with site leadership to develop and execute an approach to operations transformation, change management, and cultural development.   

A Day In The Life Typically Includes: 
  • Be the local  Market Based Management® expert and proactively coach local supervisors on the application of MBM.
  • Coaching supervisors and leaders and lead them through decisions which are consistent with our Guiding Principles.
  • Through trust and credibility, lead and support the daily labor relations function for the site (e.g. contract adherence/interpretation, grievance process management, union/management relationship, etc.).
  • Driving innovation (including HR functions and processes) and changes in work process, shifting focus to high value-added items with the application of MBM being key focus.
  • Coach leaders on the full employee development cycle including effective performance and compensation management.
  • Applying judgement and using critical thinking to solve complex organizational problems, evaluate trade-offs and recommend meaningful alternatives.
  • Positively impacting the safety of our work environment by demonstrating a personal commitment to safety and by influencing others. 
  • Understanding, identifying and managing HR-related compliance risks. 
  • Interpreting labor policies and practices. 
  • Partner with leadership to lead transformation in the organization
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business preferred, equivalent experience is accepted
  • At least 2 years of experience in a business partner role.
 Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in a business partner role
  • Previous experience working in a union environment
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
