Position overview
The Sr. Business Analyst - Innovation will report to Point A’s Innovation & Portfolio Director and work closely with Point A member companies and other Point A capabilities to deliver innovative solutions via Point A’s innovation processes and engagements.


A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Engage directly with member companies
  • Work with member companies to assist in bringing forward well-defined problem statements into the innovation pipeline.
  • Initiate and coordinate communications between Point A and participating member companies on specific initiatives. 
  • Track critical member actions and deliverables related to use case development and execution.
  • Progress initiatives throughout the innovation process and escalate appropriately to Point A and member/sponsor leadership as required to maintain project momentum.
  • Assist in formulating approaches to multi-party agreements as required on certain solutions.
  • Leverage and build upon the capabilities of Point A
  • Engage with Point A’s strategy capability to help validate, value, and determine applicability of member specific problems to broader/global supply chain opportunities.
  • Work with Point A’s member engagement capability to optimize Point A Programs to foster use case development across the ecosystem and to create and deliver important member communications.
  • Work with Point A’s innovation solutioning capability to develop opportunity-specific engagement models.
  • Maintain key documentation and track metrics related to use case advancement.
  • Collect and institutionalize best practices to improve upon Point A’s operating model
  • Leverage and establish standard practices for the use of tools like Salesforce® and Microsoft Teams in the execution of Point A’s innovation work
  • Partner with Innovation Directors in managing relationships with one or more Point A members.
  • Build and maintain a healthy innovation ecosystem
  • Work with use case project teams to capture and share results from use case projects back into the Point A ecosystem.\
  • Provide coaching and tactical support to member companies throughout the process to help build an innovative and collaborative culture among companies in the Point A ecosystem.
  • Leverage Point A systems and technologies to manage critical project and member information.

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree related to supply chain, business, engineering or innovation
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, business, or innovation
  • 2+ years of project or program management experience

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, business, or innovation
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience
  • Experience working in/with an innovation center or startup environment


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Project / program management: experience working in cross-functional teams and managing projects or programs;  detail-oriented with great follow-through; able to work on multiple tasks in parallel, and committed to driving tasks to quality completion at agreed upon deadlines
  • Action orientation: self-starter, strategic thinker with a “can do” attitude
  • Innovation and creativity: demonstrated history of finding creative solutions and/or applying innovative tools to solve complex problems
  • Strong problem-solving skills: comfortable with ambiguity, able to identify and define problems, and develop potential paths to solve them
  • Effective communicator: able to succinctly communicate complex ideas and issues both internally and externally to various levels in the organization
  • Teamwork skills: enjoy working on a team.  Works well with others and gains credibility with team members and senior management over time
