Sr. Electrical Engineer - Richmond, IN

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
 
  • Electrical project development through development of scopes and estimates, reviewing quotes and recommending equipment and materials, and facilitating design reviews with operations and maintenance personnel within the Color-Box facilities.
  • Coordinating activities to deliver projects as defined in the scope of work, including design, construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentation activities
  • Providing technical expertise and project engineering as required to support the Consumer Corrugated Packaging Division capital execution plan and operations.
  • Supporting operations through process control systems application and general process troubleshooting
  • Designing and implementing continuous improvement solutions for existing and new electrical control systems applications
  • Working in a cross-functional team environment to develop and document system requirements and specifications.
  • Up to 5% travel to the various facilities.
  • Assessing risk, identifying problems, analyzing options, and proposing solutions.
  • Utilizing economic thinking when evaluating alternatives, equipment, vendors, and contractors
  • Leading the continuous efforts to identify, investigate, recommend, and implement improvements, process changes and electrical safe work practices to improve productivity, yield, quality, and reduce costs
  • Providing strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, productivity, and strategic capital planning and execution
  • Driving improvement to operating metrics
 
What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

 
What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or bachelors degree in electrical engineering technology (BSEET)
  • Experience with Power Distribution up to 15kV
  • Experience with Rockwell Control Logix PLCs and PowerFlex 753 VFDs
  • Experience in applying NFPA and OSHA requirements pertaining to Electrical Systems and Electrical Safe Work Practices
  • Steam Generator and pressured line design
