As the Technology Leader of the Big Island Mill, you will primarily be responsible for the following:
  • Develop MBM® capabilities in Information Technology staff.
  • Strong advocate of safety, health and environmental initiatives and performance in organization.
  • Overall reliability for IT at the site and leadership/influence of IT resources & capabilities.
  • Advance innovation, optimization, and automation to support Factory of the Future/Digital Transformation
  • Account manager for all aspects of IT services and applications, acting as implementation leader for divisional/enterprise strategies
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to utilize new and emerging technologies to optimize the value a MES & Supply Chain solutions can bring.
  • Participation on the mill leadership team and leading IT strategy.
  • Develop & execute five-year Big Island IT plan and align with leadership.
  • Maintain the IT Plan in accordance with mill five-year plan.
  • Ensure knowledge share outside mill to other groups, teams, division, and enterprise.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


A strong performer in this role will effectively apply our culture and MBM® management philosophy to excel at:

 

  • Leading internal and 3rd party infrastructure resources for delivery of critical site services.
  • Active member of Manufacturing IT community sharing best practices and standards.
  • Managing all local IT activity and ensuring it is aligned with the business vision and strategies.
  • Working directly with key operations and business leaders to automate and optimize processes
  • Experimenting with new technologies and solutions, enhancing our knowledge of innovation and opportunities. ~ (ex. IoT sensor data to AWS cloud with API to PI AF/Vision)
  • Leading local IT team, consistently staying up-to-date with and connecting IT employees with how they create value as measured against operations transformation objectives.
  • Connecting local Mill Leadership Team (MLT) to IT vision and strategy.
  • Understanding and promoting awareness & adoption of leveraged applications and services.
  • Developing and gaining buy-in for a comprehensive IT roadmap at the local site.

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher
  • At least 5 years of experience in information technology field
  • At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience developing and communicating vision and strategy.

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in process control/ITOT space.
