Koch Business Solutions (KBS) is currently seeking a Wellness Coordinator to join our benefits team.  This is an exciting time for our team as we are implementing new programs focused on the well-being of our employees and their families, as well as administering existing programs.


This position will be a part of a collaborative and entrepreneurial team that directly supports the Wellness Program Manager, Human Resources (HR) community and employees in improving the health and wellness of U.S. our population across the Koch enterprise.

Team Details:
  • KBS manages the benefit programs for the Koch companies supporting 60,000 US employees.  We oversee the strategic benefits planning, communications, wellness initiatives, and operational governance of third-party vendors.
  • The team is comprised of benefit analysts, actuaries, communications consultants, and vendor managers.
  • The Wellness Coordinator role is responsible for supporting the Wellness Program Manager with wellness vendor relationships, company-wide biometric screening events, coordinating with a network of HR support resources, evaluation of program metrics, and answering questions on the program from HR and employees.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Assisting with the planning and coordinating delivery of wellness programs including health awareness (bulletin boards, newsletters), educational campaigns (lunch n learns, workshops), behavior change programs (weight loss, lifestyle coaching), biometric screening events, incentive programs, and more

  • Acting as a liaison between the Wellness Program Manager and network of HR support resources and wellness champions to gather program feedback; build enthusiasm and focus efforts; often leading wellness champion network monthly meetings

  • Effectively promoting and marketing the wellness program to target populations by utilizing existing resources

  • Leading special projects and initiatives

  • Assisting with third party wellness vendors and benefits administration vendor to ensure proper administration of wellness program design and incentive management

  • Partnering with internal and external resources on a comprehensive communication plan to build awareness, excitement, and engagement around wellness initiatives

  • Evaluating the program by utilizing key program metrics – including participation, outcomes, and savings/cost avoidance – to drive improvements and program recommendations


What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of wellness program experience within a large U.S. employer, preferably with both a salaried and non-exempt workforce

  • Experience communicating with a third-party wellness vendor

  • Working knowledge of wellness-related regulations; GINA, EEOC and reward/penalty guidelines

  • Experience with learning new processes and identifying opportunities to streamline and improve existing practices

  • Experience with MS Office and Skype/video conferencing presentation skills

  • Bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, or another field related to the knowledge needed to succeed in the role

  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of related benefits programs, e.g., medical, dental, leave of absence (FMLA), and/or disability plans.

  • Experience implementing a new wellness platform for a large employer, with a large blue-collar workforce

  • Experience as a project manager or a project management certification

  • Working towards or completed Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) certification or other wellness-related certification
